The Audio Publishers Association (APA) announced the winners on Friday March 4, 2022, in a virtual ceremony hosted by Kal Penn. The night’s top honor went to Project Hail Mary written by Andy Weir, narrated by Ray Porter, and published by Audible Studios, winning audiobook of the year. The audiobook of the year category was judged by New York Timesbestselling author Kristen Arnett, author and journalist Gayle Forman and Seija Rankin (Senior Books Editor at Entertainment Weekly).
